Some commonly used air purification technology

Choose correct air purification technology to beat air pollution

Recently, Bangkok, Thailand has been hit by heavy air pollution, with smog increasing and PM2.5 levels climbing. Air pollution in is expected to continue for a month and the local authorities advsie citizen wear masks when outside. People are suffering from severe smog, air purifiers have been sold out, most of them couldn’t find a purifier in a store or online. This brings great inconvenience to people’s life. However, when people rush to buy air purifiers, it seems they need to how to choose a good one.

No matter what type of air purifier they are, they are filtered through the surrounding air and then released from it, according to Olansi, an air purifier manufacturer. They can filter pollutants from the air and use various methods to purify the air to a healthy level without pollution. Below is the common purification technology.

Thermal sterilization (TSS)

Ultraviolet bactericidal irradiation – UVGI

Particulate matter (HEPA) filtration

Filter for MERV14

Activated carbon

Z}EI)SMV8FH{NCX4VI7C1KV

Electronic polarized medium air purifier

Photocatalytic oxidation (PCO)

Air purifier

Ozone generator

Titanium dioxide (TiO2) technology

Different air purifiers have different purification effects. Air purifiers can also help you avoid some potential risks of breathing in daily life, and different levels of air purifiers have been developed. According to different pollutants to use different filtration technology, air purifier manufacturer Olansi to explain to you, when the face of different air pollution, what kind of purification technology should be used.

  1. Particles in the air.

The HEPA filter’s air purifier removes most 0.3 micron particles.

TJQ$9YDGD03`G624)3{W]E1

In the daily living space, the HEPA filter can be pre-filtered to remove coarse particles, and it is designed to control harmful pollutants in the air.And our most common allergies are caused by particulate matter, especially mold spores.Poor quality air purifiers won’t do anything for air pollution, and here Olansi has a trick for you, when purchasing air purifier, is to making sure the filters are made of fiberglass or other synthetic materials.

  1. Bacteria

Heat ACTS as a disinfectant, and UV radiation destroys bacterial DNA. This technique is widely used in medical or biological research

  1. Volatile organic compounds (vocs).

Activated carbon air filter can play a very good role. Examples of VOC are formaldehyde, benzene and dichloromethane. At room temperature and in the air, they can seriously damage the lungs, liver, kidneys and nervous system.

Therefore, if you want a machine with basic functions in purifying air, this machine should include the following functions:

HEPA technology

Tctivated carbon adsorption

The antibacterial technology

As a manufacturer of air purifiers, we have been working for a healthier living environment. Adhering to the concept of green technology, we have been committed to promoting the iteration and application of health and environmental technology.

How to determine the air purifier which brand is good

How to determine the air purifier which brand is good

In recent years, along with the air purifier market is hot, the air purifier ten ranking “has gradually became one of the purchase index of consumer concern. So many people wondering,” the air purifier ten ranking “useful to buy air purifier?

Just contact air purifier products in the eyes of consumers, no matter what brand of air purifiers are not what difference, Cadr, CCM, purification efficiency and noise is the main reason for the novice buy air purifier products the main index – this is the National Standardization Technical Committee appliances in March 2016 officially issued the new national standard gb/t 18801-2015< air purifier >.

Indeed, gb/t 18801-2015< air purifier GB > new air purifier products through the development of the core technology index, the air purifier can help consumers to avoid fraudulent propaganda into bad business. However, the air purifier consumption can not only on paper technical indicators, including product quality, expand the function, stability, sales, logistics and customer service the service and so on, and these national standards is not involved, it is the fundamental difference between different brands of air purifiers.

So, consumers how to determine the differences between the various brands, to find a satisfactory air purifier brand?

For ordinary consumers, the most intuitive understanding of the brand is the amount of advertisement as well as relatives and friends recommend experience. However, the air purifier industry has entered a stage of rapid development, this way not only can not understand the real situation of the air purifier market pattern, also it is easy to be deceived by false propaganda. What is more, some enterprises also by name and logo imitation has a high fame and good reputation of the brand, fish in troubled water fool consumers. Such as the famous top ten brands of air purifiers are often counterfeit Olansi.

SO,Choose value air purifier brand is very important.

The longest distance in the world is not that between life and death, but when I hold your hand at a crossing in Beijing, I can’t see your face.” Olansi people said like this.

As with many of the country’s more solemn situations, the choking smog blanketing Beijing since Monday has evoked such wisecracks from social media users making light of the dire air situation.

In the past few days, jokes on the topic have become one of the most discussed threads on China’s largest microblogging site Sina Weibo.

But despite the light-hearted approach to the pernicious atmosphere, the capital’s residents are feeling the impact of what is the most severe bout of smog in Beijing since July.

The National Meteorological Center (NMC) upgraded Tuesday’s yellow alert to orange, the second highest, on Thursday afternoon. It suggested people stay indoors and wear masks if going out.

Dou Chen returned from the UK to China this February. Since coming home, she has suffered from a nettle rash for five months. A blood test found that she is allergic to substances in the air.

“When I travel outside Beijing, my symptoms are relieved,” she said. But in the past two days, the rash worsened.

In the Guang’anmen Hospital, a doctor told her the symptom were affected by the smog.

An unnamed staff member with the Beijing Children’s Hospital told Xinhua although they haven’t seen an obvious rise of patient numbers yet because the smog just started, they were told to prepare for a peak in respiratory problems.

Wang Xia, 34, is a teacher with the No. 25 Middle School. “Whenever persistent smog occurs, more students ask for sick leave,” she said. “In a class with about 40, once more than 10 students left in the afternoon.”

The environment watchdog in Beijing blamed farmers’ burning fields of straw for causing the smog, an allegation doubted by Beijingers.

But Li Lixin, an air pollution treatment official with the Beijing Environmental Protection Bureau, said a satellite test conducted during the summer of 2013 showed a discharge from widespread straw fires could drive up the PM 2.5 reading in Beijing from 110 to 460 micrograms per cubic meter in a few hours.

Still, web users question the charge.

“Agriculture has been a vital industry in China for hundreds, if not thousands, of years, and it is the tradition in rural areas to burn straw after autumn harvest and plough to bury the ashes in the ground as fertilizer,” said a Weibo user nicknamed Sunflower. “But why we didn’t have smog in the past?”

At such criticism, Wang Yu, head of the energy ecology department of the Beijing Agricultural Bureau, admits pollutants were mainly from motor vehicle exhausts, coal burning, industrial production and dust, rather than burning straw.

“But this is the season for burning straw, coinciding with a special climate which features high humidity and lack of wind,” he said. “It was like the straw that breaks the camel’s back, worsening the air pollution.”

Beijing and its surrounding provinces have banned straw burning. And anti-smog measures didn’t stop there.

In addition to the straw ban, the city pledged to replace coal with cleaner burning energy like electricity and natural gas for domestic use. They also hope to curb coal sales and use by the end of 2020, as well as other high-pollution fuels, such as fuel oil, petroleum coke, combustible waste and some biomass fuel.

Beijing has also raised the discharging fees for major pollutants such as sulphur dioxide and nitrogen oxide this year.

Li Lixin noted that it might take time to see the achievements of such measures, but the government has attached great importance to the issue, and people’s awareness of environmental protection has improved.

In the meantime, Beijingers are avoiding the outdoors and doling out thousands to protect themselves indoors.

An old man surnamed Cheng said his friends with asthma and bronchitis would remind each other not to go out in smoggy days.

Wang Xia’s school has stopped outdoor activities for students. “What if we could have air cleaners installed in each classroom,” she said.

According to a Mr. Zhang, a sales representative of electrical appliance brand SHARP on e-commerce platform JD.com, sales of air purifiers almost doubled in the past two days.

Fu Baoling, a retired worker, just bought a air purifier for 2,100 yuan (about 342.6 U.S. dollars). “My granddaughter is young, so I bought air purifier especially for her,” she said. “I don’t know whether this is effective or not. I just hope the sky could clear up soon.”

Air Purifiers Finally Coming to Beijing Classrooms

Air Purifiers Finally Coming to Beijing Classrooms

Beijing has taken a giant step forward torwards equipping public schools with air purification machines, thereby providing students a breath of fresh air during one of the city’s many smog attacks for the first time ever.

The Beijing Municipal Education Commission announced that city finances will be used to pay for the purchase and installation of air purifiers in local elementary and middle schools.

Years of bureaucratic red tape had left students with no policy on how best to protect them during the numerous bouts of severe air pollution that have beset the city.

Last December after having conducted a year-long study, the Beijing Municipal Education Commission said it wasn’t convinced air purifiers should be allowed in its schools. The commission said air purifiers couldn’t guarantee the safety of Beijing students because their use would mean “classrooms would need to be sealed, leading to no air circulation and thus the easy transmission of germs.”

As a result, air purifiers had been effectively banned from most Beijing classrooms.

Hu Qingming, a Dongcheng District resident who had contributed towards the purchase of an $770 air purifying machine for his daughter’s classroom, said the air filter was rejected by the school last year.

“We had no choice but to give up the idea. Finally, we sold the purifier,” said Hu.

A Hangzhou parent of a 5th grader had a similar story that ended with a far-reaching implication. “We went to the appliance store with the intention of buying an air purifier for the classroom. We contacted the class leader, after which the teacher contacted the school principal. But after all that, the teacher said there was no precedent for it,” said the parent.

The announcement doesn’t provide specifics on how much money will be allocated to each school, or as to what kind of air purification machines will be purchased.

Even though the cost of equipping city classrooms with air purification systems won’t come cheap, some Beijing schools have already footed the bill.

Beijing private schools that have splurged on air purification systems include the Lycee International Francais Charles de Gaulle de Pekin, the Harrow International School Beijing, the Canadian International School of Beijing, and the International Montessorie School of Beijing.

Two private schools, Dulwich College Beijing and the International School of Beijing, have even installed specialized domes with pressurized, built-in filtration systems where students can safely engage in physical activities.

The decision to make air purification machines mandatory in Beijing classrooms comes a year after the commission decided to make air purification systems a standard feature in newly-built schools.

“Schools must guarantee students’ safety and get permission from their parents before installing,” head of the olansi people said at the time.

But even with the commission’s decision to allow air purifiers in Beijing classrooms, there is currently no official standard of what defines clean air in Chinese schools.

Despite being thoroughly educated on the risks of breathing unfiltered air during severe smog attacks, breathing clean air still isn’t a priority for some Beiing residents. Air filtration machines are often stigmatized as “luxury goods” by some people, while others can be seen outside without air filter masks during one of the city’s multiple red alerts.

Current emergency protocols for air pollution mean thatclasses are cancelled during a red alert, while outdoor school activities are cancelled during an orange alert.

Air pollution causes 467,000 premature deaths a year in Europe so you need air purifier

Air pollution is causing around 467,000 premature deaths in Europe every year, the European Environment Agency (EEA) has warned.

People in urban areas are especially at risk, with around 85% exposed to fine particulate matter (PM2.5) at levels deemed harmful by the World Health Organization (WHO).

These particles are too small to see or smell, but have a devastating impact.

PM2.5 can cause or aggravate heart disease, asthma and lung cancer.

How big is the problem?

It’s pretty bad. Within the European Union (EU), more than 430,000 people died prematurely due to PM2.5 in 2013, the most recent year with figures available.

According to the EEA’s Air quality in Europe – 2016 report, the toxic gas nitrogen dioxide (NO2) – released by vehicles and central heating boilers – has an impact equivalent to 71,000 premature deaths a year.

Ground-level ozone (O3) is also killing people – an estimated 17,000 annually in the EU.

Unlike the protective ozone layer in the stratosphere, ground-level ozone is harmful, formed when emissions like NO2 react with other pollutants and “cook” in heat or sunlight.

A seagull flies through smog above the skyline of the City of London on April 2, 2014.

A chart showing the ten European countries with the worst levels of PM2.5

The European countries with the worst levels of PM2.5 are Bulgaria, Poland and the Czech Republic.

Nations like Poland where coal is a major source of electricity production tend to rank at the bottom of air quality measures, according to the EEA.

In 2013, Bulgaria provided four of the five worst European cities for high particulate matter. Costs to ill-health from coal power plants in the country are estimated to be up to €4.6bn ($4.8bn; £3.9bn) per year.

In the UK, air pollution overall costs the economy more than £20bn per year – just under 16% of the NHS’s annual £116bn budget.

Air pollution deaths mapTechnically, European air quality actually improved between 2000 and 2014. Levels of PM10 – another tiny pollutant particle – fell in 75% of the EEA’s monitored locations.

PM2.5 concentrations also dropped on average between 2006 and 2014.

But EEA executive director Hans Bruyninckx says “unacceptable damage to human health and the environment” is still rife.

Outdoor air pollution contributes to about 40,000 early deaths a year in the UK, according to the Royal Colleges of Physicians and of Paediatrics and Child Health.

SO,you should buy a air purifier in your school/home/office to improve air quanlity.

AS for this situation.I’ll introduce our company Olansi air purifier products.

Delhi smog and air pollution remains very high

You know you’re living in Delhi if your eyes burn, your throat is sore and your chest feels heavy. It’s been four days since Diwali night, however the cover of toxic air doesn’t seem to be lifting. The blame lies partly with the excessive fireworks display on Diwali night and partly with the farmers in Punjab who refuse to pay any heed to the environment and continue burning the crop stubble left behind after harvest.

There’s also the failed attempt by the Delhi government in vacuuming the dust off our streets whicdelhi air pollution, delhi pollution level, pollution in delhi, pollution in new delhi, air pollution in delhi, delhi smog pollution, delhi pollution news, Air Purifier, Air Purifier india, air pollution in delhi statistics, delhi air pollution report, delhi smog, delhi pollution level today, delhi pollution level 2016, air purifier for home, air purifier news, delhi news, India Newsh continues to be a major source of fine particulate matter available freely in the air. Combine expert medical advice that urges people to leave the National Capital (if they want to be healthy) along with more experts who say that the PM levels are unlikely to go down over the next few days, we’ve got ourselves a real fix here. While the government scrambles to figure out a plan to tackle the problem in the long run, what you can do immediately is get yourselves a few air-purifiers for your home and car. However, don’t go out and just buy any purifier, simply because it has a large price tag or a fancy brand name on it. Here are the essentials to look out for.

HEPA Filters

All modern air-purifiers feature High Efficiency Particle Arrestance (HEPA) Filters. These filters are generally rated to trap particles as small as 0.3 microns (the breadth of a human hair is about 50-150 microns). The particulate matter we are most concerned with is rated PM2.5 (particles that are 2.5-10 microns in diameter) and PM10 (10 microns or more in diameter). Therefore, any air purifier with a HEPA Filter should be able to remove much of the particulate matter from the air, but that won’t be enough.

When evaluating air-purifiers, having a HEPA Filter is a pre-requisite. Nowadays, there is some controversy over the effectiveness denoted by the word HEPA, so to be on the safe side, ensure that you buy an olansi air purifier that mentions having both a TRUE HEPA filter and a 0.3-micron rating at the very least.

air purifiers are supposed to work like lungs

In the absence of any government-set standards for indoor air quality, their efficacy rests more on anecdotal evidence than scientific assessment.

At their core, air purifiers are supposed to work like lungs. They work on the principle of sucking in air and passing it through a filter that traps particulates of various sizes. Some air purifiers also use ozone or air sprays to remove odour.

The key claim of air purifiers is that they trap particulate matter less than 10 microns thick. Were such matter to deposit in our lungs they would, over time, erode lung capacity and is equivalent to the damage done by smoking.

Whether air purifiers actually do a good job of making the air around you more breathable rests more on anecdotal evidence than scientific assessment. “You must see the response we get from our customers on how they have reduced asthmatic symptoms after installing our air purifiers,” says Vinayendra Jain, Director, Honeywell Connected Home India.

Business has never been better for Mr. Jain. In only its second year of selling air purifiers in India, sales have doubled, though Mr. Jain didn’t disclose numbers. Given Delhi’s high pollution levels, air purifier demand in the capital far outstrips that in other places, but the company’s products — that can range from Rs.8,000 to Rs.5,00,000 — are evincing interest from as far as Kanpur, Ahmedabad and Tiruchi.

“Outdoor air and indoor air are different subjects,” says Rakesh Kumar, director, CSIR-National Environmental Engineering Research Institute, “If the air outside has become twice as worse, it doesn’t mean air inside (a residence) has worsened as much.” Dr. Kumar says air purifier equipment in India hasn’t been calibrated to Indian air standards because the government hasn’t specified how it must be done so.

Air outside and inside the house

That’s why manufacturers can make claims on the efficacy of their purifiers without subjecting them to an investigation by local authorities. Indoor air has a different composition from outside. Air quality inside the house is determined by volatile organic compounds (from paints), bio-aerosols, nitrous oxides (from cooking gas), unlike air quality outside that is measured on the basis of particulate matter, carbon monoxide, ozone and sulphur dioxide levels. “The paradox is that indoor air quality doesn’t have standards for PM2.5 or PM10,” says Arun Sharma, professor, Community Medicine, University College of Medical Sciences, Delhi, “and India has no standards for indoor air quality.” That’s because there’s no agreed definition anywhere of what is an acceptable level of dust and other compounds within a home.

Dr. Kumar notes that well-ventilated homes are the best defence against pollution. “The background concentration of dust, especially in Delhi, is high and there is a natural acclimatisation by our bodies. Air purification systems are most effective in closed spaces… offices, shopping malls with poor ventilation,” he says. Dr. Sharma says that air purifiers do reduce particulate matter over a limited area, but whether they improved people’s health over the long term remains an open question.
